The trek to Langtang Valley is a short and relatively easier. As the Langtang region lies close to Kathmandu, the trailhead is easily accessible. The Langtang Valley Trek takes you through various climatic zones ranging from subtropical to alpine. The trail passes through the Langtang National Park and almost touches the border between Nepal and Tibet. So, you can view Langtang Himal and Tibetan peaks en route. The Langtang National Park is home to rare flora and fauna. It contains deciduous plants like oak and maple trees, evergreen plants like pine and various kinds of rhododendron. In addition, various animals like Himalayan tahr, rhesus monkeys, red pandas, etc. are found in this region. Stories about the sightings of mysterious beast Yeti around this region can be heard. Trek to this magnificent region to experience its wonderful biodiversity. The majority of the residents found on this trail are from Tamang community so this trail is also known as Tamang Heritage Trail. Visit their traditional houses and experience their unique culture. The region is dotted with ancient monasteries.
This trek is easy and beginners with average physical fitness can do it. The route goes uphill and downhill and there are some steep sections en route. If you are a hiker and can walk for long distances without any difficulty then you can easily do this trek.
