Annapurna Base Camp is a must-visit destination for an enthusiast, who love to see spectacular mountains and want to experience diveresed topographical regions and different cultures. You can see temples, hot springs, waterfalls and terraced paddy fields on your way to Annapurna Base Camp. The trail passes through the cultural Gurung and Thakali villages. You would already cross the sub-tropical forest, rhododendron forest and then the alpine forest when you reach your destination, the Annapurna Base Camp located at 4130 m above sea level. From the viewpoint of Poon Hill, you can observe the superb view of the Himalayan peaks of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna I, Hiunchuli, Annapurna South and Machapuchare also known as Fishtail mountain. Annapurna Base Camp is a place from where we can get the 360 degree views of Annapurna ranges. After enjoying the mountain views from the Annanpurna Base Camp, we would head towards Jhinu Danda to dip ourselves in the natural hot spring.

Arrival in Kathmandu (1350 m)

Highlights: Exploration of the cultural city of Kathamandu

Arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), Kathmandu. Our representative will welcome you at the airport and transfer to your hotel. Take rest and try to get over the effects of jet lag. A brief session regarding our further program would be conducted. Explore the neighborhood and arrange your dinner on your own. Catch up on some much needed sleep and prepare yourself for the next day tour. Overnight at hotel.

Day 2
Kathmandu City Tour (1350 m)

Duration: 8 hours

Transportation: Van/Jeep

Accomodation: Hotel in Kathmandu

Highlights: Exploration of the cultural city of Kathamandu

We will spend the day exploring the Kathmandu Valley. First, we will visit Swayambhunath also called the “Monkey Temple”. Take in the views of the city from atop one of the most important Buddhist stupas in Nepal. You will be then taken to Pashupatinath Temple, one of the most prominent Hindu religious site in the world. After this a short lunch break will be taken. Lunch is on your own. Finally you will be taken to Patan Durbar Square. In the evening, join your fellow travelers for a welcome dinner. Also, you can do the last hour shopping to buy some gears needed during your trekking.

Day 3
Kathmandu to Birethanti (1025 m)

Total distance: Around 7 hours by vehicle and 45 minutes on foot

Transportation: Private van/jeep

Accomodation: Lodge in Birethanti

Highlights: Various rivers, terraced fields and green mountains

We will travel by a private van or jeep to Nayapul via Pokhara and then walk for around 45 minutes to Birethanti, the entrance point to the Annapurna region. Overnight stay at a lodge in Birethanti.

Inclusions: All meals, guided tour, transportation from Kathmandu to Nayapul (the trailhead), coffee, tea, water and double occupancy accommodations.

Day 4
Birethanti to Ulleri (1960 m)

Trekking distance: Approximately 6-7 hours (Around 10 km)

Accomodation: Lodge in Ulleri

Highlights: Rivulets, waterfalls and terraced fields, the peaks of Annapurna South and Himchuli

Today is the first day of our expedition and it is relatively tough one. The trail passes through the terraced field from where we can see many waterfalls and rivulets. From Birethanti, we will ascend gradually along the Bhurungdi rivulet to Tikhedhunga. On the way we will stop for a lunch break. From Tikhedhunga, we will follow the steep stone steps untill we get to the village of Ulleri.

Day 5
Ulleri to Ghorepani (2860 m)

Trekking distance: Approximately 5-6 hours (Around 10 km)

Accomodation: Lodge in Ghorepani

Highlights: Annapurna ranges

The trail today is quite exciting as it ascends a rapid altitude of around 1000 m. The trail up to Nangethanti is undulating but mostly uphill steps. We would stop for a lunch break on the way. You would be rewarded with the view of Annapurna range as soon as you get to the hilltop village of Ghorepani for your tiredsome efforts to attain this altitude.

Day 6
Ghorepani to Poon Hill (3210 m) to Tadapani (2600 m)

Total distance: Approximately 5 hours of trekking (Around 12 km)

Accomodation: Lodge/ Tea-house in Tadapani

Highlights: The magnificient views of the snow covered mountains from Poonhill

Today is one of the most important days of this trek as we are heading towards the famous vantage point of Poonhill to catch the stunning views of golden snow covered peaks in the presence of beautiful sunrise. For this you need to arise before sunrise and take an hour of walk to Poon Hill. After spending half an hour at this point, head back to the lodge where you stayed the previous night in Ghorepani and have breakfast there. After breakfast, we will start our trek for the day to Tadapani. Here the trail will ascend for around two hours and pass through beautiful waterfalls along the way. We will take a tea break at Deurali, then, descend towards Tadapani. Overnight at a lodge or tea-house at Tadapani.

Day 7
Tadapani to Chhomrong (2170 m)

Total distance: Approximately 4 hours of trekking (Around 8 km)

Accomodation: Tea-house/Lodge in Chhomrong

Highlights: Views of snow covered mountains

After breakfast at the hotel, we will start our downhill trek to Chule, a beautiful village which sits atop green mountain and continue our downhill trek untill we cross a suspension bridge over Kimrong river. The view of Kimrong river is special. Then we will start the uphill trek to Kimrong and continue our trek to Chhomrong. On the way we will stop for lunch. Chhomrong is a beautiful village located in the mountain valley and is one of the last villages on our trek inside the Annapurna Sanctuary. Overnight at a lodge/tea house in Chhomrong.

Day 8
Chhomrong to Bamboo (2310 m)

Total Distance: Approximately 4 hours of trekking (Around 8 km)

Highlights: Amazing views of snow covered mountains

The village of Chhomrong is popular for the stunning views of the Annapurnas and Machupachare especially at dawn. So, we can savour our breakfast at the hotel in the presence of golden views of the sunrise. After breakfast, we will start our trek for the day. Follow the trail which passes throug Sinuwa Danda. We will stop for a lunch break at Sinuwa. After lunch, we will continue our trek to Bamboo. Dinner in Bamboo. Overnight in Bamboo.

Day 9
Bamboo to Deurali (3300 m)

Total Distance: Approximately 6 hours of trekking (Around 11 km)

Accomodation: Tea house/Lodge in Deurali

Highlights: Magnificient snow covered mountains

After breakfast, we will start our trekking by following the uphill trail passing through the rhodedendron forest which leads to Dovan and then to Himalaya. We will continue the uphill trek along the Modi river valley through the green forest and arrive at Deurali.

Day 10
Deurali to Machhapuchhre Base Camp to Annapurna Base Camp (4130 m)

Total Distance: Approximately 5 hours of trekking (Around 6 km)

Accomodation: Lodge/Tea house at Annapurna Base Camp

Highlights: Machhapuchhre Base Camp, Annapurna Base Camp and close up view of spectacular Annapurna range, Himchuli, Ten Peaks and Gangapurna

We will start the uphill trek through the alpine forest which leads us to the Machhapuchhre Base Camp, also known as Fishtail Base Camp. We will take a lunch break at Machhapuchhre Base Camp. After lunch, we will continue our mission to reach Annapurna Base Camp. Congratulations, we made it! Dinner in your lodge. Overnight in Annapurna Base Camp.

Note: Today we will be within the avalanche area. Keep in mind that you will be here at your own risk. You are advised to follow your guide’s instruction strictly.

Day 11
Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo (2310 m)

Total Distance: Approximately 6 hours of trekking (Around 13 km)

Accomodation: Lodge/Tea house in Bamboo

Highlights: Spectacular views of snow covered mountains

After breakfast we will head back towards Bamboo along the same trail that we used when coming. But it will be almost all downhill trail. We will have our lunch on the way. Overnight in Bamboo.

Day 12
Bamboo to Jhinu (1780 m)

Total distance: Approximately 4 hours of trekking (Around 9 km)

Accomodation: Lodge/Tea house in Jhinu

Highlights: Hot spring bath

After breakfast we begin the trek for the day. The trail will mostly remain downhill. We will take our lunch in Jhinu. If the weather is permitting we will go to relax our tired body in the hot spring. Dinner at the tea house.

Day 13
Jhinu to Pokhara (884 m)

Total distance: Approximately 4 hours of trekking and 3 hours by Jeep

Transportation: Jeep

Accomodation: Hotel in Pokhara

Highlights: The city of lakes – Pokhara

Today is the final day of our trek.We will pass through Kyumi and contiue our descent to Siwai. We will take our lunch at Siwai. From Siwai a Jeep will pick us up to Pokhara. The jeep will take us through Birethanti where you need to show your TIMS and Permit to Annapurna Conservation Area Projet to notify the authorities that you have finished your trek and came back. We will reach Pokhara in the evening. Congratulations! We have completed out trek. Enjoy the rest of the day in the city of Lake. Overnight in Pokhara.

Day 14
Pokhara City Tour (884 m)

Duration: 8 hours

Accomodation: Hotel in Pokhara

Highlights: The city of lakes – Pokhara

Today we will travel through different landmarks of the Pokhara city in a relaxed manner. We will visit the World Peace Pagoda located atop a nearby hill from Pokhara which offers you the majestic view of the Pokhara city and its surroundings. Our next destination would be the International Mountain Museum which gives a clear picture about the tallest mountains in the world. In the evening, we will take a boat riding in the Phewa lake. Spend the rest of the time on your own. Arrange dinner on your own. Overnight in Pokhara.

Day 15
Pokhara to Kathmandu (1350 m)

Total distance: Approximately 7 hours by vehicle

Transportation: Private van/jeep

Accomodation: Hotel in Kathmandu

Highlights: Various rivers, terraced fields and green mountains

We will travel by a private van or jeep to Kathmandu. Join your fellow travelers for a farewell dinner and lots of booze in the evening.

Day 16
